About the Choir
Calvary Pandan Bible-Presbyterian Church Choir
Introduction
The CP Church Choir was established in 1987 by Rev Stephen Khoo. We praise God for His sustaining grace and providence over these many years for the sake of His church. The choir today consists of about 70 choristers, gathering weekly to rehearse songs of praise and comfort for presentations to the glory of God and the edification of the saints.
Objective
The objectives of the choir center on our theme verse:
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." Col 3:16
Songs and activities are planned and executed with the objective of best rendering God's Word in song faithfully so as to teach, admonish and edify the saints. While the choir seeks to serve the church, activities are also planned to ensure choristers themselves are spiritually fed and prepared as ministers of God's Word in song.

Requirements for Joining the Choir
As ministers of God's Word in song, all choristers must profess salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ. Aspiring choristers will need to be able to sing in tune and in a manner that is able to blend with other choristers. A simple audition will be held to ascertain this. Choristers will need to be ready to commit to weekly practices. There is no restriction to age in the choir.
